Advice
What do you like about living in the Northwest?
The weather! Sure, we might have a reputation for a lot of rain, but it actually rains more in New York City than in Tacoma. Plus, our mountains get a lot of snow, which makes awesome conditions for skiing and snowboarding.
What’s one thing that still surprises you about PLU?
Even after being a student for four years, and now a staff member, I am always surprised by the community that you find here on campus. Everyone, from students to faculty to staff members, is supportive and caring of each other. I certainly did not expect to find this when I first entered PLU.
Name one way that PLU has changed your life.
PLU changed my life when it gave me the opportunity to travel the world and become a global citizen. During my two study-away experiences, I was able to learn more about the unique cultures and languages of the world, broaden my global perspective, and grow as a person.
